Serie bad sheets. seit 2004

Bei dieser Serie geht es, wie oft in meiner künstlerischen Arbeit darum, mit unterschiedlichen Ebenen zu spielen: Das Foto, die Textebene und schließlich das Stoffmuster der Bettwäsche. Das Zusammenspiel der Ebenen ist genau geplant, sowohl bei der Auswahl des Fotos, des Texts, und auch bei der exakten Platzierung des Fotos auf dem Stoff.
Innerhalb der Serie ist eine Serie mit Photos von Schneemännern entstanden: „I know what you did last winter“. Der Titel ist in Anlehnung an den Horrorthriller „I know what you did last summer“.

The series bad sheets is, as often in my artistic work, an interplay of overlapping  layers: There is the photograph, then the layer of text, and finally the pattern of the bedsheet.
The combination of all three is meticulously planned to achieve the intended final picture.
Within the series a subseries with snowman pictures has developed, called „I know what you did last winter“, coined after the horror thriller „I know what you did last summer“.
